Some good ideas here, I think. I like the one about a local hero or popular football player. It makes me think about this cheerleader from my hometown. She was older than me, and I always admired her, but now that we're both adults, it's strange for me to see how awful her life turned out. She was a "golden girl," you know? And now she's barely staying out of jail.

My Generation

At the beginning of the semester, we're going to talk about what characteristics constitute our generations. We'll also consider what items in popular culture best represent our generation.
