You went to lollapalooza this year? My friend and I wanted to go SO bad last summer, we actually might go this summer!! How did you like it? Would you recommend going?
Yes, it's way fun. You have to be willing to put up with tons of people and unpredictable Chicago weather (it rained all day the first day, and it was incredibly hot the next), but I've been going for a few years now, and it's a great way to see music. If you go, don't skip the ones you've never heard of--usually they're the most fun.
This is my second year teaching in the writing program at Ball State University. Before coming to BSU, I taught at Southern Illinois University and Millikin University.
I received my BA in Rhetoric from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and my MFA in Fiction from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. I completed a certification in editing and book publishing from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, BC.
I have been an assistant editor with Crab Orchard Review, and a book editor with Publication Services in Champaign, IL. I am currently an assistant editor at Narrative Magazine.
I am also an active fiction writer.
In my spare time, I like to travel, ski, bicycle, swim, and practice Yoga.
